Sequence and use of the measuring frequencies:
Side 1
3150 Hz is to be used for measuring wow and flutter and checking or adjusting tapespeed.
50 Hz is to be used for checking or adjusting tapespeed, with Cassette Service Set 800 CSS or 801 CSS.
315 Hz 0dB reference level for Dolby control. Recording according DIN 45513 (250 pWb/mm).
10 kHz is to be used for azimuth alignment.
40, 250 Hz and 6.3 to 18 kHz are to be used for checking the frequency response. Recording level – 20 dB relating to 0dB at 315 Hz.
Side 2
This side is blank and can be used for your own recordings ‘according to IEC II’.
